Ultraceuticals is an Australian owned and made product which is the first to introduce a range of AHA products into Australia . Regarded as the only Australian professional skincare brand developed to International standards and its products are complemented by the Ultraceuticals peel treatments. This product is based on vitamins A, C, E & Antioxidants. Vitamins aren't just good for you on the inside, they can also give your skin vitality. External aggressors such as pollution, stress, smoking, drinking too much alcohol and a poor diet all contribute to premature aging of the skin. All this produces free radicals-the result of oxidation, which sets off a chain reaction of damage to healthy cells leading to dehydration and ultimately, your skin to age faster. Vitamins A, C & E are anti-oxidants that stop free radicals. Applying them to your face is your first defence against those external rigors. Ultraceuticals facials include lactic and glycolic acid peels which improve skin sallowness, hyperpigmentation and skin roughness. It also helps to stimulate the growth of collagen in the skin leading to skin firmness and elasticity. Vitamin A (also known as vitamin A palmitate, retinol, retinol palmitate) is the most beneficial of the vitamins for anti-ageing. It's derivatives, such as retinol, retinol palmitate and retinol acetate, are believed to help rebuild collagen, the cushioning that gives skin it's bounce-back quality and tone. Vitamin A is also believed to help speed up cell turnover, helping to normalise damaged and unhealthy skin (such as acne, rosacea, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and dry, dehydrated skin. Best for prematurely aged, mature skin dry and oily skins, skin prone to spots. Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid, magnesium ascorbic phosphate) is one of the most important vitamins when it comes to building strong healthy collagen. It's believed to have skin lightening effect, protect the skin from damage-especially when combined with vitamin E and sunscreen-and to stimulate collagen production. Best for prematurely aged skin, sun damage, age spots and pigmentation, dryness, damaged skin from smoking. Vitamin E (also known as tocopherol, alpha-tocopherol and D-Alpha-tocopherol) is a brilliant free radical scavenger, especially when combined with other anti-oxidants, such as vitamin C. Vitamin E is absorbed readily by skin and reduces water loss, so it's excellent for dry skin. As skin ages and the sebaceous glands produces less, vitamin E is thought to help in counteracting the oil loss and reducing pigmentation. It's also believed to maintain collagen and elastin and reduce any inflammation caused by UV damage. Best for all skin types and ages, particularly dry and mature skin and may help prevent fine thread veins appearing on skin.
